The Ribtect Chest Protector is SFI Approved for young drivers in go-karting and other motorsports. Competitive kart racing series require an SFI rated chest protector for drivers 12 and under. Ribtect uses 2 layers of vacuum formed polypropylene plastic, sewn together with a Cordura liner. It has been through extensive testing by the SFI and is certified for SFI Spec 20.1
The Ribtect chest protector can be worn alone, or with any brand of rib protector of safety vest. The chest protector goes on first, then the rib protector or vest, and then the suit
